1. DRESS UP THAT BASIC BETCH OUTFIT
I love to be comfortable, like really comfortable, all the time. Guilty, I will pay a ridiculous amount of money on a basic white-tee if the material feels as soft as butter on my skin. True story. So when I wear my expensive t-shirt, I need something to make my outfit POP. Enter statement earrings! 4. DON'T OVER DO IT
My idol Coco Chanel said it best, " Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” You have to be careful to not over stylize with statement earrings. Try to pick one element to showcase, and go all in. Just like in makeup, you only want to emphasize what you feel is your best feature that day. Over dramatizing the lipstick and eyeshadow at the same time can come off as too much and takes away from that one exciting spark that catches people's eyes. In jewelry, follow this rule of thumb: If you pick your ears to be the star, wear a simple necklace and delicate rings. Also be careful of choosing a statement earring that might clash with a patterned outfit. If you do want to wear a pair of statement earring with a designed top, dress, or bottoms, ask your best gal pal (or me!) for a second opinion.
